Our Dogs' Lives

We like to think that this is our place, but the reality is that the dogs rule this roost, but graciously allow us to live here, too!

Tyson gets the rules while Monty awaits a round of fetch

Monty's Fun Facts

Breed:  Golden Retriever
Age:  8 years old
Named after: Juan Montoya
Brought home by: Troy as a Valentine's Day gift for Toni
Wildest adventure:  Swimming in Lake Maxine
Favorite toy: Blaze orange rubber stick called "duck"
Likes:  Long walks on a leash, scratches behind the ears, squirrels
Dislikes:  Cold weather, hot weather, and rainy weather

A Message From Monty...

Living in the country is great!  There is so much to smell and to chase!  I like to chase things like squirrels, and my "duck" and sticks!  I can't catch squirrels, but I can catch the sticks!  I like to go for walks!  I like getting petted!  I like when people talk to me and sometimes I even listen!  Sometimes I bark because I like to!  But don't tell mom and dad!  They think I'm barking at the squirrels!  But I like squirrels so I wouldn't bark at them!  I like kids!  They are nice!  We are a lot alike!  We like to run and play!

Tyson's Fun Facts

Breed:  Yorkie Poo
Age: 1.5 years old
Named after:  Mike Tyson
Brought home by: Toni with Troy's blessing
Wildest adventure:  Going down the stairs
Favorite toy:  Foxy
Likes:  Playing fetch, the back of the recliner, and boxing with dad
Dislikes:  Stairs, dancing with mom and vacuums

A Message From Tyson...

If I were a person, I'd be a comedian.  I am smart but sometimes act stupid because it helps me get what I want.  I love to people (and dog) watch, especially from my perch on the back of the love seat or the back of the recliner.  I love my toys, especially when someone throws them and I have to chase them.  I'm the perfect size for a little kid to carry around.  Unfortunately, I'm also the perfect size for my mom to dance with.  I hate that.  Really, I do.  She has no rhythm and it's an embarrassment to be a part of it.  I can't wait until there is a baby around here, so that I can have a new best friend and mom can have a new dance partner (sorry kid but way to take one for the team!).
